Poetry is in the air
It's a hot summer evening in late May and the small hall of the Seidlvilla is filled to overflowing. It is not a poetry slam, yet is half the audience closely crowded together, because there are not any seats left. It has come to ten young, handsome Munich residents at an annual reading of self-written poems and prose pieces to listen to. What was previously announced in size in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the poetry collective in July the city was on 24 May 2012 be a reality. July in the city conjured up a well thought-word network, graceful and charming rhymes and records they did in the warm summer air fade away again. In particular, the summery charm of "Munich's backyards," the origin of the poems could be felt. The love of travel to distant countries, the search for oneself - it is the young subjects, is dealing with the poetry collective. But they are always packed unusual, clever and sparse, quiet and loud, accurately and eloquently. The ten poets from July to play in the town with humor and harmony, speak of longing and everyday life and are neither flat nor crisp high. The lovingly and professionally designed program for them to read - as well as the poems - they show that one here with a heart, mind, and above all a love of language at work. The poetry collective creates what neither the comedy-heavy poetry slam, bringing even more venerable, but outmoded poem talks about. July in the town of poetry makes it fashionable again.
