Not the new signing of any great seal, nor seems to be protected from any artist of renown. Leo Stannard is a mere boy born in Leicester has begun to create a path in the music world just two days ago. Even so only have to listen to the live show of 'Please Do' in the Sessions RTTV to realize that this innocent boy is made of a special paste.
Ben Howard vocally reminiscent of the early and has a technical ability that allows you to draw all kinds of tunes from some sinuous guitar riffs. So far we have only the opportunity to hear three pieces of this British pop value ('Please Do', 'Just Sixteen' and 'Machines') but these have been enough for some of the UK's media sessions and have applied one of his live acoustic. Do the next to fall? The Mahogany Sessions.
We will have to follow very closely to this innocent boy from the East Midlands of UK. If you have very little and has surprised us, what happens when Leo premiere album? Expectantly to see the wonders we can get to baste this British boy.

All about the next 18 singles of Red Hot Chili Peppers
Are not Radiohead. Neither premiere discs within a week, or play the same style of music, nor give free newspapers in cities of half the world. Even so sometimes the band manages to surprise with Anthony Kiedis small marketing strategies are not very common. Will the last one? The announcement of the release of 18 consecutive singles will go on sale at an interval of six months in both vinyl and digital version.
As we read through the creators of Paste Magazine "I'm With You" have provided a very scheduled release schedule. The first singles will be sold "Strange Man" and "Long Progression" that will go on sale on August 14, while 'Magpies' and 'Victorian Machinery' will be released on September 11. 'Never Is A Long Time' and 'Love Of Your Life' will be released on October 2 and the following three singles, which have not yet been selected, due to be released on November 6, December 4 and December 18 respectively. The last three will be released in early 2013 but yet to determine the dates of their release. Apparently all the songs were recorded in sessions conducted in 2010 while RHCP were finalizing "I'm With You". Kelsey Brookes will be the artist behind the artwork of all these interesting releases which together form a large painting.
This half year we paint the sea is exciting for fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers. The grace of all this lies in the regular so to release in the singles. Two in August, two in September, two in October, November 2, two in December and probably three in January and February. How could we be happy? The wise men have come too soon!

A festival from home? Music Festival comes Filmin
Through Paranoid Androids have found the initiative of Filmin festivalera, online film portal that wants to offer music lovers of their own ration: the Filmin music festival, a festival of documentaries and films about music that will last 31 days and display 32 titles. They say since Filmin own blog that "for the price of two drinks at any of the festivals", but it is probably for the price of one, or half if you press me: unlimited pass $ 10, and June 15 to July 15 See all titles online. From your couch, your bed, when you want and with whoever you want.
What do you see? The highlights, exclusive premieres are a documentary on the life of Bob Marley, recording a show in which Nacho Vegas put music to the world of film director Mike Leigh and a portrait of the figure of Michel Petrucciani, a pianist and jazz composer "who refused to be disabled" and who their bone disease did not prevent a lifetime of piano.
In the rest of "scenarios" are movie titles like Dancer in the Dark, the Lars Von Trier film with lead actress Björk, Hearts Rebels documentary Young @ Heart, a band that is characterized by all its members are over 70, Junebug, with a soundtrack by Yo La I have or the documentary about the All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
More? Classical names (Neil Young, Lou Reed, Bob Dylan ...), a stage devoted to flamenco (Camarón de la Isla, Enrique Morente ...) and another on the Impossible, why lie, feel special love: documentaries on musicians to that we will not see on a stage in which names like Joe Strummer, Ian Curtis, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon or Jim Morrison.
Well, that: a cool idea, affordable and it sounds good plan to start the summer. All information, title and synopsis can be found here.

Post Rock from Brisbane
For me sound the most current post rock / shoe-gaze bands the same. Perhaps this is because, by definition, not that the genre allows for many variations, but there I have a hard artist, album and something of a personal style to apprehend them. Once the clutter is produced properly, he loses all individuality in my ears. That should not be meant pejoratively: I let myself down again and certainly very happy of this massive sound walls roll over, just - if they are over, some of it might stick with me.
Ektoise from Brisbane / Australia are different. Her second album, released last year Kiyomizu was one of the few albums of this kind, which was partly filled permanently on my media player and I've heard again and again. I feel as if Ektoise would their numbers make more varied: They explore diverse in moods, familiar with various degrees of darkness, varying degrees of aggressiveness and varying degrees of volume (not just loud and soft) - that allows her music to me much less uniform act.
Who has failed so last year, "Kiyomizu" download, should do so if he has from time to time some joy to shoegaze / post-rock junk either. The album is still a free download:
And for those who like what he gets there to hear, should not miss the brand new live release Live at the Beetle Bar at the download, of course, free of charge, on their compositions sound a little dirty, raw and uncut:
Recommended are the singles (especially the single Remember well) and remixes of the band, be sure to discover the band is well worth a spin-off Departures, is combined with jazz and chamber music and post rock.

Burke, discover - Uncover hidden
Layer by layer. Epoch by epoch, the Munich-based artist Christian grinds Leitna by sediments from paint, silicone, exterior paint, blood, sweat and tears. In Munich in the project space dyeing Claude-Lorrain-Str. 25 plays of 22 June to 1 July Leitna Christian's current project, "Colorblind." The dye house is a house of the youth culture "Kreisjugendring" Munich. For many years, the dye is a project space for street art and graffiti artists. Over time, the murals of the respective artists and the subsequent repainting the walls with white paint an unexpected layer thickness have left.
Christian dares Leitna an unprecedented expedition through the inch-thick layer of graffiti and Streetartkultur 13 years. Simple exposure can thrive long-forgotten treasures to a new image.
On the other hand, uses Christian Leitna the screen to alienate current images from the media layer by layer. The distorted reality presents itself on a very fragile glass layer. Two independent work, a theme. Contrary and contradictory Leitnas work is aimed at our naive Wegstreich Society - characterized by short life and a distorted relationship to reality.

Paule and King of the Court - a look-
One might think that's finally arrived in Munich general happy nature of the base and displace the infamous Grant would. Despite
bad weather, not to say, torrential downpours, late Sunday afternoon to
find a sufficiently public willing to Paul Kalkbrenner, arguably
Germany's most famous DJ to pay homage.
Since everything is represented: hardcore electro freaks who take off their sunglasses all Coleur also said rain did not, young and older have become open-air trailer, lots of hipsters and some families, of course, the obligatory club crowd, which always appears on the scene when heard somewhere basses, and even more Jack Wolfskin (the ladies dress in fashion by Maria Galland) group has found itself in order to listen to the sounds of the electric sorcerer, whose outfit - which is in fact just as well on the golf course, on the Ansitz a hunting or can be just worn on the royal court and clearly signified membership of the upper class of the city, acting out of place, not less, than the less stylish but defür as functional Provisoriumsset of truly painless concert-goers who are looking in the rain as an energizing break and some have settled.
Of course, running the show, as expected, the mood is bomb, hundreds of phones will ever pulled simultaneously into the air, everyone wants somehow a photo of himself and the event; is with couples as a motif very popular addition to obligatory couple photos before a big audience, even the so-called Action Move - "You have to take the picture when it degree fully going on" and then the usual electro-Choreography of feet stomping and syncopated, slightly offset the hand, arm, hip movements, which are known in the Alpine country as "air squeezing" follows, of course, the crowd & stage In back, a couple is dancing half, another shot. Or the Propylaea, the tower interior hollow body basses are as light stroboscopic flashes through the later hours in various colors, also popular, and no less impressive. What more could you want? A hammer concert, on all sides with good humor, the higher will always be another level when Paule a song from the Album "Berlin Calling" from the speakers hunts (all the hard concert-goers will endure in spite of continuous rain until the very end, to "Sky and Sand" to listen ...) And that Munich police officers also can have fun is to be shown herewith. The accompanying video is still from the set of pre-Pan Pot DJs but is expected to have sufficient explanatory power.
It was, I will say that a good evening. The complaints, of which little is reported later in the Munich-based media - my God, can it ever keep up with the motto of a not entirely unfamiliar beer commercial: "Live and let live, and" - or in our case: "Granteln, celebrate, and dance can be. "

Taylor Hawkins of the Foos will be Iggy Pop in a movie about CBGB
Several filmmakers have spent several months working hard on a film focused on the history of CBGB, New York music venue that was located at 315 Bowery between 1973 and 2006 and still today is considered the club's flagship music the history of NY. The film aims to reconstruct reliably the lived within those four walls so the director Randall Miller has signed actors like Alan Rickman ("Harry Potter"), Mickey Sumner (from "The Borgias" who plays Patty Smith) or ...Taylor Hawkins! The drummer of the Foo Fighters has been appointed as the interpreter to make the Iggy Pop character in this highly anticipated film.
Checking IMDB tab we proved that Taylor has not acted so far in any series / movie. The film "CBGB" will be a good opportunity for the Rubiales nice to test some acting skills already glimpsed, at least minimally, in some of the music of Foo Fighters. Sure behind the hostess buenorra of 'Learn To Fly' hides a pretty decent player.
"CBGB" is in pre-production so it is believed that the film was not released until well into 2013.

Poetry is in the air
It's a hot summer evening in late May and the small hall of the Seidlvilla is filled to overflowing. It is not a poetry slam, yet is half the audience closely crowded together, because there are not any seats left. It has come to ten young, handsome Munich residents at an annual reading of self-written poems and prose pieces to listen to. What was previously announced in size in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the poetry collective in July the city was on 24 May 2012 be a reality. July in the city conjured up a well thought-word network, graceful and charming rhymes and records they did in the warm summer air fade away again. In particular, the summery charm of "Munich's backyards," the origin of the poems could be felt. The love of travel to distant countries, the search for oneself - it is the young subjects, is dealing with the poetry collective. But they are always packed unusual, clever and sparse, quiet and loud, accurately and eloquently. The ten poets from July to play in the town with humor and harmony, speak of longing and everyday life and are neither flat nor crisp high. The lovingly and professionally designed program for them to read - as well as the poems - they show that one here with a heart, mind, and above all a love of language at work. The poetry collective creates what neither the comedy-heavy poetry slam, bringing even more venerable, but outmoded poem talks about. July in the town of poetry makes it fashionable again.
