Played on Wednesday after months of receiving fevers finally "Foster the People" in the Columbia hall in Berlin. The band we had been introduced early last year and since they were an integral part of the way of my playlist. I put "waste" at work when my mood was threatening to sink. The anticipation was correspondingly huge.
The band improvised their songs in many different ways, so that they often did not know what the intro song is looming there. So the songs were interesting, despite tausendmaligem listening to me. The band members also turned out to be as all-rounders who have mastered loose three different instruments. So they managed to partially create a magical atmosphere in which one forgot the 1,500 guests around them.
In other places, but I was touched a little embarrassing, because singer Mark Foster has partly focused too much on his own show and gave it a perfect double Robbie Williams. The impression was reinforced by the five teens he took to the stage to him to dance. As thanks, there was a large group-hug ... For my taste, the band already arrived in the very center of the mainstream which is rarely good for the musical development. This impression was reinforced when I saw the Megaknallersuperhit "Pumped Up Kicks" in the morning on RTL radio listening.
The concert was all in all still good and I'm curious what will happen next for the band.
