The legendary rock opera of the British cult band The Who has led the way from concept album about the big screen and ultimately back to the musical stage itself! "Tommy," Townshend is one of the biggest successes of The Who and especially Pete, was the source of almost all compositions. Songs like "Pinball Wizard" advanced to immortal hits. Director Ryan McBryde, the rock opera 2011 for the English Theatre in Frankfurt newly revised.
"The Who's Tommy" tells the story of a child after a traumatic experience is blind, deaf and dumb. Tommy goes through various stages of consciousness up to enlightenment. He must leave abuse, misuse, and futile attempts to cure by drug queens, charlatans and experimental physicians endure. But then Tommy developed psychic abilities and increases the "pinball king" on. He is the modern Messiah and a community of believers gathers around him.

The German press was captivated by the performances at the English Theatre in Frankfurt. So wrote the Frankfurter Neue Presse "in visually stunning scenes (...) is developing 'Tommy' (...) to an equally oppressive as exciting musical (...) Powerful, rocked hard and straight."
